ARTS GROUPS TO HOLD YARD SALE

The Roanoke Symphony, The Arts Council of Roanoke Valley and other nonprofit organizations will sell off surplus materials at a downtown yard sale on July 27.

The sale will be in Crestar Plaza from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

At 12:15 p.m., excerpts from the Mill Mountain Theatre production of "Magic To Do" will be presented as part of the arts council's Brown Bag Arts free performance series.

Susan Cole of the arts council said sale items will include umbrellas, T-shirts, posters, buttons and assorted other promotional material.
