KOLLMORGEN MAKES PACT WITH VERNITRON

After Vernitron Corp.'s unsuccessful efforts of more than a year to take over Kollmorgen Corp., owner of three Radford operations, the companies have agreed not to seek control of each other for 10 years.

Kollmorgen is buying $5.1 million worth of its stock owned by Vernitron and paying Vernitron $2 million to settle litigation and other disputes.
