HEILIG-MEYERS SAYS JUNE SALES HIGHER

Heilig-Meyers Co., a Richmond-based furniture chain, said its June sales were an estimated $31.4 million, up more than 28 percent from $24.5 million a year ago. The expanding chain said sales from stores open in the same month last year increased 17 percent.

The company has a number of Western Virginia stores.
