9-YEAR-OLD MOLESTED ON FLIGHT; MAN CHARGED

A 9-year-old girl flying with her little sister to their grandparents' home was molested Thursday by the man seated next to her, an FBI spokesman said. The man was arrested.

The girls were traveling by themselves on Northwest Airlines Flight 88 from their home in Anchorage, Alaska, to Pittsburgh when the girl was assaulted, said FBI spokesman John Anthony.

Dale Richard Majeske, 30, of the Flint area was arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Virginia Morgan on charges of child molestation on an aircraft, punishable by up to 10 years in prison, Anthony said. Because the assault occurred in the air, the offense is federal. - Associated Press
