Left fielder Darwin Pennye had four hits and second baseman Glen McNabb and center fielder Greg Sims knocked in two runs each as the Buccaneers broke loose for nine hits in the last four innings.
Salem overcame a two-run deficit with three runs and three hits in the sixth inning off Winston-Salem reliever Bill Melvin.
Singles by Pennye, Chris Estep and McNabb produced one run. Melvin then walked Rob Bailey and Sims to force home Estep with the second run. That brought on Steve DiBartolomeo, who gave up a sacrifice fly to Bruce Schreiber.
The Bucs added a run in the seventh inning on a double by Pennye and a single by Estep, and took a 6-3 lead in the eighth when McNabb and Sims both doubled.
Tim Wakefield (5-8) got the victory for Salem, scattering seven hits in 6 innings. He walked three and struck out four.
