RUCKER, VERGIE L.\ Mrs. Vergie Lemon Rucker, age 74, of Roanoke died Wednesday, July 4, 1990. She was retired from the Roanoke Mills with 30 years of service. She is survived by her husband, Cecil F. Rucker; one daughter, Doris R. Jenkins, Auburn, Ala.; one son, Ryland C. Rucker, Seattle, Wash.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 1990 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rader Troutville Chapel with the Rev. Michael Slaughter officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Those wishing to make donations, please consider your favorite charity.
