RADFORD DEAN DIES PLAYING RACQUETBALL

John W. Arnn Jr., dean of the College of Education and Human Development at Radford University, died today.

Arnn, 47, collapsed on the racquetball court at the Dedmon Center about 6 p.m. Thursday and was taken to Radford Community Hospital. A hospital spokeswoman said she could not comment on the cause of death.

Arnn was assistant dean for the School of Education at Texas Christian University for three years before coming to Radford in 1986.

He earned his master's and doctoral degrees at East Texas State University. He taught there and at Texas Christian before coming to Radford in 1986.

Arnn is survived by his wife, Pat, and four children.
