\ LEXINGTON - Horace Brenton Carter, Jr., age 63, died July 5, 1990, at his home in Lexington. He was born in Natural Bridge, November 5, 1926, the son of the late Horace B. and Ellen May Carter, Sr. Surviving are his wife, Janie Mae Beale Carter, Lexington; three sons, Richard T. Carter, Raleigh, N.C.; Horace B. Carter, III, Doswell; Jeffrey L. Carter, Staunton; two grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Mountain View Cemetery by the Rev. Rupert Strawbridge. The family will receive friends at the Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
