COAL CONFERENCE PLANNED IN ROANOKE

The Virginia Coal Council is sponsoring its 12th International Coal Conference and Exposition in Roanoke this September.

"Coal: America's Security Blanket," will be this year's theme, presented at the Airport Marriott Sept. 18-20.

The conference is by the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Sen. John Warner, Congressmen Rick Boucher and Southwest Virginia Community College.

The conference will highlight coal producers, worldwide coal consumers and leaders in transportation, domestic utilities and clean coal technology. Exhibits will also be provided.
