\ Gerald Kent Basham, age 50, died Friday, July 6, 1990, in a Roanoke hospital. He was a member of Ninth Street Church of the Brethren; the Taylor Masonic Lodge No. 23, A.F. & A.M.; the Scottish Rite Bodies; the Kazim Temple; and Roanoke Lodge No. 197 B.P.O.E. He is survived by his wife, Judith Stevens Basham, Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly Leigh and R. Jeffery Brown; granddaughters, Shelly Ann and Shannon Leigh Brown, all of Nazareth, Pa.; son, Gerald Kent Basham, II; mother, Annie Laura Basham; brothers and sister-in-law, Garry R., Larry G. and Melanie T. Basham; several nieces and nephews, all of Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Kent Basham. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Gene Hagenberger officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton, with Masonic grave rites. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel.
