\ LYNCHBURG - William Earl Brown, formerly of Thaxton, departed this life on Saturday, July 7, 1990, at the Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the son of the late Marlow and Goldie Brown. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mrs. Josephine Brown; adopted son, William L. Brown; stepson, Howard Reeves, Roanoke; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Jennings, Mrs. Edna Brown and Mrs. Alice Moseley; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Irene Brown, all of Thaxton; two brothers-in-law, Robert Moseley and Walter Jennings, both of Bedford; a devoted friend, Robert L. Morris; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the First Baptist Church Cemetery, Montvale. The family will receive friends Monday evening, July 9, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Bedford Funeral Home.
