TRUMP FINANCES TO GET BOOST FROM NEW TENANT

Donald Trump is set to announce this morning that he has signed France's largest retailer to a 25-year lease in Trump Tower in a deal worth tens of millions of dollars that will strengthen his troubled real estate and gambling empire, bankers said Sunday.

Galeries Lafayette, Europe's second-largest department store, after Harrods in London, has agreed to lease a total of 85,000 square feet, including 55,000 square feet of retail space, in the Fifth Avenue commercial and residential skyscraper.

The new lease, which Trump has been negotiating for several months, will strengthen his financial condition by allowing him to borrow against it.
