CRAWFORD TO HEAD MUSEUM BOARD

Thomas J. Crawford was recently elected president of the Science Museum of Western Virginia for the 1990-91 fiscal year.

Crawford, corporate secretary of Roanoke Electric Steel Corporation, has been a member of the science museum's board of trustees since 1986. Other board officers include: Lucas Snipes, vice president; Carlyle Stull, vice president; Lewis Nelson, secretary; and Cranston Williams, treasurer.

Newly elected members of the 42-member board are: Barbara Bird of Wytheville, Dr. J. Dennis Hancock of Roanoke, Thelma Haynesworth of Vinton, Barry Henderson of Roanoke, Timothy Hill of Hollins, Howard Packett of Salem, Dr. Verma Rivers of Lynchburg and J. Richard Wells of Roanoke.

The board's immediate past president, Joseph Wright of Roanoke, will serve as a member of its executive committee.
