TWO PILOTS GROUNDED

NASA on Monday grounded two veteran shuttle crew commanders, one involved in a fatal collision of stunt planes at a weekend air show and one accused of flying too close to an airliner.

Navy Cmdr. Robert L. "Hoot" Gibson and Navy Capt. David M. Walker were grounded for violations of Johnson Space Center flight crew operations guidelines, NASA said. Gibson was grounded for one year, and Walker for 60 days.
