N.Y. MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO FOUR MURDERS

A New York City man pleaded guilty Monday to one count of capital murder and three counts of first-degree murder for the drug-related slayings of four men last year.

Eugene "Snookems" Gomez, 19, faces up to four life sentences, plus six years for guilty pleas on firearm charges. Sentencing was set for Sept. 20.

The bodies of the four men were found stuffed in the back seat and trunk of a Volvo in March.

Police say Gomez wanted to kill Llewelyn E. John, 30, the boss of the drug ring for which Gomez worked. According to authorities, Gomez hired two hit men who waited for John at his Norfolk apartment.

When John returned from New York City with three acquaintances, the hitmen killed all four.
