DALEVILLE MAN DIES AFTER TRACTOR FALLS

A Daleville man died Sunday from injuries sustained when a tractor fell on him at the Ikenberry Orchard on June 27 in Botetourt County.

Leon Vernon St. Clair, 75, died at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he was taken after the accident.

Capt. Rick Trout of the Troutville Volunteer Rescue Squad said St. Clair appeared to have suffered internal injuries and injuries to his right leg.

He was conscious when paramedics arrived on the scene, and he was not pinned under the tractor, Trout said.
