Former Virginia Tech coach Don DeVoe, who spent the 1989-90 season as interim coach at the University of Florida, is among five finalists for the coaching job at Florida International University. The other finalists are former Texas and Mississippi coach Bob Weltlich, former Drake coach Gary Garner, Ashland (Ohio) College coach Keith Dambrot and Miami Dade-South Community College coach Cesar Odio.
