CLEMSON COACH SIGNS FIVE-YEAR CONTRACT EXCEEDING $1 MILLION

Clemson football coach Ken Hatfield has signed a five-year contract with the Tigers that could net him more than $1 million, the school announced.

Hatfield, who replaced Danny Ford in January, signed a contract that pays him an annual $108,500 salary, with the potential for yearly increases.

Clemson also guaranteed Hatfield will make at least $84,250 a year from speeches, endorsements and equipment contracts, and another $9,000 if the Tigers make a bowl appearance, as they have the past five years.
