Miss America contestants will no longer pose for photographers in swimsuits, but the swimsuit competition will remain a part of the preliminary and final contests, the pageant director said Wednesday.

\ The ruling body of the Seventh-day Adventist Church voted Wednesday against allowing the ordination of women. Delegates to the church's 55th world conference, in Indianapolis, voted 1,173-377, to accept a commission's report that ordaining women would be disruptive.
