EDUCATORS ONES WHO SHOULD APOLOGIZE
IT IS NOT the editor of The Rockbridge Weekly who should apologize for
printing the Parry McCluer High School seniors' letters verbatim ("Editor's
pen leaves stain on students," June 14). It is the English teacher for not
doing her job properly, and the principal for backing her up. Seems to me the
school board would do well to look twice at their credentials before
contract-renewal time.
And you should slap the wrist of the person who thought up that silly
heading, which leaves the impression that the Roanoke Times & World-News
thinks it's all right to reward ignorance, too.
