Former Redskin star to teach football skills

The Mark Moseley Football Kicking Clinic will be held this weekend at Northside High School.

Youths age 10 and older will be taught various kicking and punting skills by Moseley, a former player for the Washington Redskins, and other college and professional players and coaches.

The camp will be held Friday from 3-7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The cost of the camp is $140 for an individual or $105 if more than one child from the same school attends. The fee includes a T-shirt, a grab bag, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, a physical evaluation, a videotaped analysis and a kicking competition.

\ Physicals scheduled for high-school athletes

The Lewis-Gale Foundation will conduct physical examinations for Roanoke-area high-school athletes July 28 at Northside High School.

The examinations, which cost $5 each, are for ninth- through 12th-grade students who wish to participate in high school athletics during the 1990-91 school year.

Participating athletes must bring a Virginia High School League consent form with parts I, II and III completed and signed by their parent or guardian. Forms may be obtained at each high school. All athletes must wear shorts; girls also should wear halter tops or bathing-suit tops.

Each examination lasts about an hour. The schedule is:
