\ James (Jimmy) Crawford, age 40, formerly of Roanoke, died July 1, in Santa Monica, Calif. Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Survivors include Jean S. Crawford, his mother; Charles F. Crawford, his father of Roanoke; brothers, Charles F. Crawford, Jr. of Rocky Mount; William Crawford of Washington, D.C.; M. A. Canfield of Meadow Vista, Calif.; Wayne E. Canfield of Hoover, Ala.; also surviving includes uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Memorial services will be held at Lotz Roanoke Chapel on Saturday, July 14, 1990, at 4:00 p.m. by the Rev. Gary Kingery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lotz Roanoke.
