\ HILLSVILLE - Ben Bayard Perry, Jr., age 78, passed away Thursday, July 12, 1990 at the Radford Community Hospital. He was born in Carroll County July 15, 1911, a son of Benjamin Bayard Perry, Sr. and Nancy Ernestine Taylor. He was a retired retail grocery merchant. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Charlotte Lyon Perry; his children, Betty and Jimmy Kilbourne, Hillsville; Bob and Sandy Perry, Kingsport, Tenn; two sisters, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Alderman and Mrs. John (Lucile) Bohon, both of Hillsville; grandchildren, Robin and Mike Brickey, Phillip Perry, Beckey Perry, Carrie Kilbourne and Jason Kilbourne. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 14, 1990 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hillsville Christian Church with the Rev. Charles Mackey, officiating. Interment in the Gladesboro Cemetery. Mr. Perry will be placed in the Hillsville Christian Church Friday, at 4:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends at the church from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be made to the Hillsville Christian Church. Arrangements are being made by the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel.
