LYNCH ON TOURING ACC TEAM

North Carolina forward George Lynch of Roanoke, Va., and Virginia forward Kenny Turner were selected for an Atlantic Coast Conference all-star basketball team that will play six games in West Germany in August.

The ACC team is scheduled to arrive in Frankfurt, West Germany, on Aug. 10 and return to the United States on Aug. 20.

Maryland's Gary Williams will coach the team. Other members of the team are King Rice of North Carolina, Cedric Lewis and Matt Roe of Maryland, Wayne Buckingham of Clemson, Matt Geiger of Georgia Tech, Tom Gugliotta of North Carolina State, Billy McCaffrey of Duke and Anthony Tucker of Wake Forest. - Staff report
