3 UVA PLAYERS FINALISTS ON U.S. WOMEN'S TEAM

Three members of the University of Virginia women's basketball team are among the 15 finalists for the 1990 United States Women's Junior National team.

UVa guard Tammi Reiss, a rising junior guard from Eldred (N.Y.) Central High School, and twin centers Heather and Heidi Burge of Palos Verdes (Calif.) High earned places among the finalists because of their performances in the 1990 U.S. Olympic Festival basketball competition. All three played for the East team in the Olympic Festival.

Reiss was the Olympic Festival's second-leading scorer at 17.2 points per game. She also averaged four assists.
