MAC MCDONALD NEW WAKE RADIO ANNOUNCER

Mac McDonald, a former radio and television announcer at the University of Virginia and two-time sportscaster of the year in that state, has been appointed the new radio play-by-play announcer for Wake Forest football and basketball, Wake Forest athletic director Gene Hooks announced Thursday.

McDonald replaces John Fricke, the Wake Forest broadcaster the past year who resigned recently to accept a television position with the Mizlou Sports Network. - Staff report
