CIRCUIT CITY MOVES TO HENRICO COUNTY

Circuit City has moved its headquarters from Richmond to a new five-story office building in western Henrico County.

Ann M. Collier, Circuit City's financial relations manager, said all of the electronics and appliance company's corporate staff will be under the same roof. Now, about 500 employees work at the Richmond office and the other 300 work in two other buildings. Ultimately the new headquarters could hold 1,000 people.

Circuit City, which started as a television store in Richmond, topped $2 billion in sales last year. It operates 146 stores across the country.
