GREENLEAF, LOUISE P.

Louise Pappas Greenleaf, 71 years of age, of Grundy, was dead on arrival at Buchanan General Hospital, Thursday evening, July 12, 1990, from an apparent heart attack. Born at Charleston, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Louis Zaccharias Pappas and Nora May Eary Powers. She was a member of the Grundy Church of Christ, where she had served in the Bible School Department for more than 47 years, taught the Ladies Bible School Class for 30 years, was a member of the Choir for several years and was a retired bookkeeper and secretary. Mrs. Greenleaf is survived by her husband Evangelist Clarence S. Greenleaf of Grundy; two daughters, Mrs. Leona Shortridge, Grundy; Mrs. Carolyn Louise Looney, Tazewell; one sister, Mrs. Dreama Wilkinson, Greensboro, N.C.; one brother, George Edward Pappas, Los Angeles, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 15, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. at the Grundy Church of Christ with Church of Christ preachers officiating, with burial to follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, Va. The body of Mrs. Greenleaf will be taken to the Grundy Church of Christ, Friday evening at 6:00 p.m., where friends may call. Grundy Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
