12 STUDENTS WIN 20 COREAST MEDALS

Twelve Christiansburg students won 20 medals at the track and field portion of the CorEast State Games on Saturday.

Winning first-place medals were: Kevin Bennett, Jeff Chandler - two; Darrell Lucas, Steve Surratt, Demond Wesley - three.

These students won second-place medals: Kevin Bennett, Emmett Bourne, Rodney Crawford - two; Charles Hardy, Shawn Marshall, Ed Stamper - two; Steve Surratt, Demond Wesley.

Sam McClaugherty won a third-place medal.
