SEMEN DOESN'T MATCH JOGGER CASE DEFENDANTS

In what defense attorneys called their first breakthrough in the Central Park jogger case, a DNA expert testified Friday that semen found inside the woman did not match that of any of the defendants on trial or any of the suspects arrested in the case.

The sample also did not match the DNA of the jogger's boyfriend.

Defense attorneys said testimony by Dwight Adams, an FBI expert in DNA genetic fingerprinting, also suggested that at least one person who participated in the rape of the jogger on the night of April 19, 1989, has never been caught.

Adams said he generated a DNA profile from a semen sample taken from the jogger's cervix.
