WHITEHEAD-PERRY

Brooke Nelson Perry and Michael Kevin Whitehead were married June 30 at the home of the bride's parents in Lexington. The Rev. Branan Thompson officiated.

The bride is a daughter of Col. and Mrs. Beverly M. Read of Lexington. A graduate of St. Margaret's School and Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, she is employed by Tweeds Inc. and Roanoker Restaurant. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph K. Whitehead of Roanoke are parents of the groom. Employed by the Roanoke Times & World-News, he is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.

Elaine Flack of Ayden, N.C., was maid of honor. The father of the groom was best man. The couple will make their home in Roanoke.
