COMING SEPT. 2: `CELEBRATIONS'

We will begin publishing all bridal announcements in a feature called "Celebrations" on Sept. 2. On this special page, which will appear in Sunday Extra, bridal couples will be able to use as much space as they like for their announcements and include any information they wish.

Six-line announcements of weddings and of 50th wedding anniversaries will be offered free of charge.

Longer announcements will be run on a paid-space basis. Readers may also announce other events in Celebrations, such as engagements, other wedding anniversaries, births, birthdays, graduations, promotions, confirmations and bar mitzvahs. Readers will be able to include photographs of any size and whatever information they choose in any of these paid notices, subject only to our regular guidelines.

Couples who are getting married before Aug. 26 may use the standardized, free announcement we now offer, as outlined above. Or they may elect to delay their announcement to take advantage of the additional space available throught Celebrations.
