`KIDS WILL BE KIDS,' AND PARENTS . . . ?

YOUR JULY 4 article on the 90-year-old Martinsville woman allegedly attacked in her apartment by three children quoted the mother of the 9-year-old as saying, in response to negative publicity, "They just been looking at them like they criminals. But kids will be kids."
