\ Thomas H. "Pat" Patterson, Sr., age 80, of Roanoke, died Friday, July 13, 1990, in a local hospital. He was retired from Richardson Wayland Electrical Corporation after 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Corinne Patterson. He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Nichols Patterson; one daughter, Betty Jean Lewis, Pound, Va.; two sons, Thomas H. Patterson, Jr., Roanoke; Kenneth L. Patterson, Bent Mountain; six stepchildren, Buford Nichols, Richmond; Patricia Divers, Salem; Glenn Nichols, Winona Lake, Ind.; David Nichols, Roanoke; Debra Likens, Roanoke; Rebecca Johnson, Roswell, N.M.; nine grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; two brothers, Lewis V. Patterson and Herman L. Patterson, both of Madison Heights; one sister, Eva P. Garland, Amherst, Va. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, with the Rev. John Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
