\ Mrs. Kathleen Hammond Staedel, age 97, of Roanoke, died Sunday morning. Mrs. Staedel was the widow of Adolph Staedel and is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jack F. and Geneva D. Staedel, Pahrump, Nev.; a daughter, Margaret S. Thomas, Roanoke; and a nephew, Carlyle Hammond, Roanoke. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 1990, at Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton, Va., with the Rev. Byron Wilkinson officiating. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel after 2:00 p.m. Monday.
