OBIT MAYS, J. HARVEY

J. Harvey Mays, age 84, of St. Louis, Mo. and formerly of Martinsville/Roanoke, passed away Saturday, July 14, 1990, in a St. Louis Hospital. He was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in St. Louis, a member of Commanding Officers and Associates (St. Louis County Police Department) and a marketing representative for over forty years with Homasote Co., West Trenton, N.J. He was the widower of Bessie Lee (Kidd) Mays and is survived by two sons, Richard P. Mays, Waldorf, Md.; Ronald Lee Mays, St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Patricia Urban, Fairless Hills, Penn.; Donna Baumann, Alexandria, Va.; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Reeva Cline, Martinsville. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with Rev. James Drinard Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Burial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
