\ John E. Sharpe, age 76, of 3651 Cedar Lane, S.W., died Saturday, July 14. He was a retired employee of General Electric. A member of The Quarter of a Century Club, a past president of the Roanoke Bowling Assoc., an active member of REACT and the Green Valley Civic Assoc. Surviving are his children, John Denise Sharpe, Hampton; David A. Sharpe, Roanoke; Mary K. Rowley, Virginia Beach; Margaret J. Sharpe, Roanoke; brother, F.R. Sharpe; Arvada, Colo.; sister, Louise E. Moore, Schenectady, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. H. Fleet Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's South Chapel.
