\ FLOYD - John Paul Jones, age 78, of Marion and formerly of Floyd, passed away Monday, July 16, 1990, at Smyth County Community Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are three sons, William P. Jones, James Jones, both of Marion; Frank Jones, Princeton, W.Va.; one brother, Ward Jones, Inkster, Mich.; four sisters, Anne Murphy, Katherine Nester, both of Floyd; Ruth Johnson, Spring Hill, Fla.; Roberteen Slusher, Dearborn, Mich.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Sage officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery with graveside services by Hillsville V.F.W. Post No. 1115. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Maberry Funeral Home.
