GOVERNMENT WORKERS' GROUP PLANS PICNIC

The August meeting of the New River Valley District of the Virginia Governmental Employees Association will be held at Bisset Park in Radford on Aug. 10, 4-9 p.m.

The picnic is open to all current and potential members.

Hot dogs, condiments, potato chips and utensils will be provided. Bring your own beverages - except alcohol, which is prohibited in the park.

Cost is $1 per person; children under 6 are admitted free.

Pool facilities are open 4-5 p.m. Door prizes will be awarded; you must be present to win.

To register, send a check with your name, address, phone number and number of people attending to: Connie Lowe, 1200 Norwood St., Christiansburg. Registration deadline is July 27.
