RADIO WPSK WINS COC PRESIDENT'S AWARD

WPSK, a country radio station at 107.1 FM, received the President's Award from the Christiansburg-Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce for the spirit of volunteer contributions to chamber projects and programs.

General Manager Karen Hedge accepted the award at the June luncheon. She was co-chair for the chamber's Wilderness Trail Festival and is a member of the festival's marketing committee.

Chris Conner, WPSK's operations manager, has been involved in free remote broadcasts of the festival for several years, and the station has promoted the 1990 Wilderness Trail Festival Concert at the Christiansburg High School auditorium.

WPSK also has contributed door prizes at the chamber's bi-monthly luncheons and mixers.
