TOWN AND COUNTRY GARDEN CLUB MEETS

The Town and Country Garden Club met in July at the home of Mrs. E.L. Trimm. Co-hostess was Eva Patterson.

Mrs. Arthur Walwrath spoke on daylilies, her specialty as well as the club's. Walwrath, a member of the Arboretum Garden Club and a Life Flower Show judge, displayed 30 varieties of daylilies.

It was announced that Mrs. A.S. Beecher had received a Presidential Citation from the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs in appreciation for excellence on improved cultivars. The club also gave three blue awards in horticulture to Mrs. W.L. Favrao.

The business session was conducted by President James A. Faiszt.
