HISTORICAL ACTIVITIES WEEKEND SCHEDULED

A "Living History Weekend" of activities is planned at the Shot Tower Historical Park in Wythe County Saturday and Sunday, including staged Civil War encampments and skirmishes.

The camps will be open to the public at no charge both days, starting at 9 a.m. Scheduled demonstrations both days include calvary at 1 p.m., infantry at 2 p.m. and skirmishes at 3 p.m. A 30-man unit from Carroll County will be among the participants.

A Sunday church service will be held at 11 a.m.
