INJUNCTION SOUGHT AGAINST COMPLETION OF MOBILE-HOME PARK

Henry County Circuit Court has been asked to stop completion of a mobile-home park being built by Iriswood District Supervisor Robert L. Whitner.

A hearing for a temporary injunction has been scheduled for Aug. 12, according to a spokesman for Armstrong and Armstrong, attorneys for 51 homeowners suing the supervisor.

According to the suit, the 65-unit mobile-home park violates restrictive covenants written into the deeds for the property.

In addition to preventing Whitner from opening the park, which is scheduled for completion by Aug. 30, the suit seeks $150,000 or restoration of the property.
