MONTGOMERY GETS 3 INCHES OF RAIN; NO FLOODS REPORTED

A storm late Tuesday dumped about 3 inches of rain in the Blacksburg area of Montgomery County, but police dispatchers there were reporting no flooding.

A spokesman for Appalachian Power Co. reported scattered power outages following the 10 p.m. storm.

The National Weather Service reported that the storm, which lasted less than an hour, centered on northern Montgomery County and stretched to the Craig County line.

Craig dispatchers also reported no flooding.
