OWNER OF GUN SHOP, EMPLOYEE KILLED ON EASTERN SHORE

The co-owner of a gun shop and one of her employees were fatally shot in the store, and authorities in this Eastern Shore community said they have no motives.

Police have not found anything missing from The Gunners Shack, but they have yet to complete an inventory of the store's merchandise, Accomack County Sheriff Robert Crockett said Tuesday.

Camellia A. Moon, 50, and George S. Stone, 19, both of Parksley, were shot in the head between 2 and 2:30 p.m. Monday while in the shop Moon owned with her husband, David, Crockett said.

A tourist who stopped in the shop Monday afternoon found Moon and Stone on the floor bleeding, and then called authorities, Crockett said. Moon was dead when officers arrived at the shop along U.S. 13, and Stone was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he died Tuesday morning.
