She will be responsible for administration of all student services including athletics, counseling, resident life, student activities and health services.
Brooks received her doctorate in higher education last month from the University of Georgia. She holds a bachelor's degree in physical education from Campbell University and a master's degree from James Madison University.
For four years, she has been assistant director of housing and residence life at Mercer University in Macon, Ga. Before that, she was residential life director and basketball coach at Mary Baldwin College for three years.
