DOCTORAL COURSES PLANNED IN ABINGDON

George Mason University's Center for Community College Education will offer off-campus doctoral-level courses here at Virginia Highlands Community College for community college personnel starting Monday and continuing through Aug. 3.

More than 20 community college administrative and faculty members from Southwest Virginia have enrolled in two courses that are part of George Mason's doctoral degree in community college education program.

George Vaughan, director of George Mason's community college education center, has invited Southwest Virginia Community College President Charles King, Virginia Highlands Community College President N. DeWitt Moore Jr., Mountain Empire Community College President Ruth Smith and Wytheville Community College President William Snyder to give guest lectures during the program.
