BRITISH SATIRE ON STAGE AT BARTER PLAYHOUSE

"Good Evening," a fast-paced comedy revue by Dudley Moore and Peter Cook, is being performed at the Barter Playhouse through Aug. 25.

Rex Partington, Barter's artistic director and producer, said it is a sequel to "Beyond the Fringe" which was produced at the Playhouse in 1987. Both productions are examples of British wit and satire, ranging from an interview with a shepherd who witnessed Christ's birth to an audition of a one-legged actor for the role of Tarzan.

Performances will be Tuesday through Saturday evenings and Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinees. Reservations are available by telephoning 1-800-572-2081.
