AIDS COALITION TO MEET THURSDAY

The quarterly meeting of the New River Valley AIDS Coalition will be Thursday, 7-8:30 p.m., at Christiansburg Presbyterian Church, 107 W. Main St.

Speakers include Lee Radecke, an AIDS nurse for the Roanoke Health Department and Caroline Crist, a representative from the Montgomery County Department of Social Services. They will discuss current information on AIDS and treatment for the disease, as well as services available through social service agencies.

Margaret Robinson of the New River Health District will talk about the availability of AZT and insurance coverage, and Steven Stewart, chairman of the client services subcommittee, will discuss support services available through the subcommittee.

The public is invited to the meeting. A question-and-answer session will follow the program.
