TAZEWELL TEENS KILLED IN COLLISION OF TWO MOTORCYCLES

Two Tazewell County teen-agers died Thursday following a head-on collision of two motorcycles.

Robert S. Harrison, 16, of Route 1, Bandy, and Edward Daniel Ross Coleman, 18, of Richlands were dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred between 1:30 p.m. and 1:40 p.m.

The collision took place in a curve on a private narrow gravel road near Virginia 628 in the Bandy section of the county. The edges of the road were heavily wooded.

The impact of the crash knocked both youths from their bikes. One of the youths was wearing a helmet when rescue workers arrived; another helmet was found in some bushes about 10 feet from the victims.
